Troy P. Owens, Jr.

is the owner and sole attorney at The Law Office of Troy P. Owens, Jr., A.P.C. Mr. Owens is a San Diego native and has completed all of his schooling in the County of San Diego. He graduated from Eastlake High School in Chula Vista before attending San Diego State University. Mr. Owens received his undergraduate degree from SDSU with a major in Criminal Justice Administration and a minor in Political Science. He then went on to the top law school in San Diego, The University of San Diego, School of Law, where he received his Degree of Juris Doctor. Mr. Owens is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in California.

Mr. Owens has an extensive background in the Criminal Justice system. Beginning in 2002, Mr. Owens worked for the federal government at the US Attorney's Office. He was selected to work with the US Marshal's Service Violent Crimes Task Force in San Diego, which was comprised of over 13 law enforcement agencies. Mr. Owens stopped working for the Marshal's Service to devote his time to the study of law. After completing his first year of law school, Mr. Owens interned at both the San Diego District Attorney's Office and at the Alternate Public Defender's Office. After graduating from Law School, Mr. Owens gained exposure to civil litigation while working for Hannah, Brophy, MacLean, McAleer, and Jensen, LLP. He then accepted employment at the San Diego County Office of the Public Defender, where he worked from 2012 until 2016.

In 2016, Mr. Owens started The Law Office of Troy P. Owens, Jr. This office handles both criminal defense and personal injury cases. To date, Mr. Owens has handled cases ranging from minor infraction cases and DUI charges to kidnapping and murder cases with gang enhancements. Mr. Owens has also represented countless victims in personal injury cases ranging from car accidents, to slip and fall cases, to wrongful death claims. Many of his cases have been featured on local and national news. Mr. Owens offers comprehensive services to all of his criminal defense and personal injury cases.

Mr. Owens has received numerous awards for his outstanding services. He enjoys receiving follow-up calls from his past clients and referrals to their friends and family members.
